Facing The Edge: Working With Change

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Designers create change in organizations whether we, or the organizations we are part of, like it or not. When change happens — a new approach, a new technology, re-orgs, strategy shifts, new approaches, market volatility — people react strongly, and often in ways that are counterproductive. It's a big challenge to keep people aligned, engaged, and creative in the face of this turmoil.

Emotional literacy and a creative approach can save the day. When you face change with the same creativity you use to approach design, your team becomes capable of astounding things.

In this talk, Sarah will discuss the emotional experience of change and how, when you work with that experience rather than against it, you can re-orient teams to the future, get teams out of common traps, and engage creative teams in their own destiny.
