Meaning First: Design For The Human Spirit And Our Collective Creativity

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Today design has been reduced to a competition for stimulating our brain stem, instead of stimulating our deepest human needs, a sense of fulfillment and awakening our creativity. Are designers in a position to change this? What if we could design to make our Darwinian instincts work for us instead of against us? Let’s start a conversation and a movement for design that unlocks creativity and human potential. In this talk, Tristan (Google) will suggest concrete steps you can take today – whether you’re a product designer or business leader - to help design for human values. Kristian (IDEO and CCA) will inspire us through examples of our inherent specialness as designers, and our mission to humanize technology, benefit people and to awaken collective creativity.
